Fiat head Sergio Marchionne revealed in a recent interview that he would like to pair up with Apple to create the first “Apple Car.”
Speaking to Bloomberg, Marchionne said, “I would assume that we have the credibility to be one of the players they have looked at. There are parts of us that would be interesting for them.”
The Fiat head is, of course, speaking of being a top choice if the tech giant ever decided to create its own car. There have been rumors about the possibility of an Apple Car, especially after the success of the Google Car; one of the company’s biggest rivals.
In the Bloomberg interview, Marchionne said was he an “Apple freak” who owned several Apple products, giving him a nice idea of what Fiat could add to an eventual Apple Car, not only tech-wise but also aesthetically.
It would be exciting to see Fiat pair up with the hugely popular tech company. Combining the youth-oriented natures of both companies would surely do great things for people waiting for that perfect new car that combines the auto and tech industries with precision and ease.
