The FIAT 500 includes a line of charismatic and personable subcompact vehicles. Two popular choices in the 500 series are the X and the L. Although they are both small crossovers from the same company, there are some notable differences between the 500X and the 500L. Both have unique exteriors that give them plenty of personality. Their cabins contain high-end amenities, and they have a generous amount of space, especially considering their relatively small size. With multiple trim levels in both vehicles, you have many opportunities to choose your favorite trim and add your special finishing touches.

Appearance

The FIAT 500X and 500L have some of the most distinctive exterior appearances among vehicles in their class. Three trims are available with either model, which are the Pop, Trekking, and Lounge. The 500X Pop has 16-inch wheels with a steel finish if you get front-wheel drive, but the all-wheel drive models get larger 17-inch wheels made of alloy instead. Alloy wheels are added to the second Trekking trim, which also has fog lights and automatic headlights.

Roof rails are optional with a package, along with a windshield wiper de-icer available through a Cold Weather package. Chrome accents are added to the Lounge trim. The 500L is slightly larger overall than the 500X. It has alloy wheels and daytime automatic running lights to start. Larger 17-inch wheels are added to the Trekking trim, which also has fog lights and unique body panels. The Lounge gets painted 17-inch alloy wheels along with a sunroof, chrome exterior accents, and chrome mirrors. Matte black wheels are optional.

Features

With the 500X comes a seven-inch infotainment display screen at the base trim level. Bluetooth is also included, as is a standard sound system with six speakers. USB ports are added for device charging as well. An extra USB port and satellite radio are available as upgrades, along with a leather steering wheel. The mid-level trim adds an upgraded infotainment display and premium leather seats. Navigation is added to the top Lounge trim, along with heated seats and a heated steering wheel. The 500L also has a seven-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Two USB ports are included. Dual-zone climate control and satellite radio are added to the second trim. With the top Lounge comes leather seats, ambient interior lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
