2021 FIAT 500X Sport vs. 2021 FIAT 500X Trekking Plus
The new FIAT 500X SUV is one of the most exciting cars that has been released in recent years. It's an all-new design that combines the practicality of a crossover with the fun and style of a small car. Two of the trim levels the 500X comes in are the Sport and Trekking Plus.
Performance
Both trims are powered by either a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine generating 180 horsepower or an optional turbocharged 1.3L 4-cylinder delivering 160 horsepower, mated to a six-speed manual or nine-speed automatic transmissions, respectively. There isn't any decision to make; if you want more power, go for the 1.3 Turbo.
The Sport trim is available with a turbocharged engine, which offers more power than the standard model. This variant also has an all-wheel drive system for improved traction and driving performance in adverse weather conditions. The Trekking Plus comes with a front-wheel drive as standard but can be upgraded to an all-wheel drive if desired or needed due to local road conditions.
Appearance
Both FIAT 500X trims are stylish, sporty, and efficient. Both the front fascia of both models has a much more aggressive look with more oversized air intakes to feed their turbocharged engines. The Sport model has chrome accents around the fog lamps or dark-tinted headlights for an even edgier appearance.
The Trekking Plus comes with a chrome grille, body-colored bumpers, and door handle as standard. If desired, you can also fit your new FIAT 500X with exterior features such as 17-inch alloy wheels or roof rails.
Features
The Sport and Trekking Plus comes loaded with great equipment that is on par with other vehicles in its class. Each model comes with a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration as standard features.
The Sport trim is available with extras such as leather-trimmed seats or an upgraded infotainment system that includes navigation. At the same time, the Trekking Plus has these options but can also be equipped with a sunroof for added style.
Both trim levels come standard with front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, heated seats, automatic headlights that turn on when it starts getting dark outside or if there is precipitation present (such as rain), dual-zone climate control, which allows the driver and front passenger to have different temperatures inside the vehicle, and a heated steering wheel.
Whether you're interested in performance, appearance, or features - these two trims have something to offer everyone.
