About the Fiat 500L in Scottsdale
The Fiat automotive DNA is strong and although the 500L shares a look and most of its name with Fiat's two-door models, the tall 500L compact SUV is instead a version of Fiat's European-market Punto hatchback.
Like the preponderance of city-sized runabouts, the 500L has an urbane look. It's not an off-roader, but it can schlep around considerably more people and cargo than its smaller cousins. The bulldog nose has tiered headlamps and the grille has three different horizontal elements, giving the 500L SUV a playful appearance.

Test-drive a 2015 Fiat 500L in Scottsdale. One advantage the 500L has over its competitors in the segment are its Koni-brand shocks. These effectively damp out some of the harsher ride motions over potholes and rough pavement. The 500L is in well-tuned, responding well even at highway speeds, with fluid steering and good stability.
2015 Fiat 500L reviews say the cockpit is well-arranged with oval housings framing the instrumentation and controls. These are in contrasting color, and the large climate-control knobs work well. Trekking trim has its own black-and-brown color scheme to go with unique front and rear fascias, flared wheel openings, body-side sill moldings, and 17-inch alloy wheels to lend a more adventurous aesthetic.
The high roof of this tall wagon gives the 2015 500L excellent head and shoulder room for all passengers. Seats are rounded off in the European style for easier pedal access. The cargo area has a floor panel that slides into rails, creating dual-level storage.
The 500L is a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS. Outfitted with seven standard airbags, stability control, and active headrests, occupant safety is at the heart of the 500L. Learn more as our 2015 Fiat 500L review continues below.
