What's New for the 2018 Fiat 500L?

This year's new edition of the Fiat 500L includes a brand new-beautiful exterior, a spacious interior and over 40 new safety features. In addition, Apple CarPlay is now standard along with a leather steering wheel on all models. Changes to the 500L don't stop there either. The model also receives the world's first Lexan side glass on a vehicle, and lighting in the car has been greatly improved with LED day running lights and parking lights. Passengers have not been forgotten either with ambient light added in the central area of the vehicle and on the doors.

Trims & Features

The Fiat 500L comes with 3 available trims all coming with their own notable features. The most basic trim is the Pop 4-door Hatchback starting at $20,995. Some notable features are the 16" silver aluminum Wheels, Front air conditioning, AM/FM stereo, seek-scan radio, a 1st row LCD monitor keyfob (all doors), remote keyless entry, and premium cloth Seat trim. The Trekking 4-door Hatchback starts at $23,325 and includes 17" machined w/painted accents, aluminum wheels, driver and front passenger heated-cushion, heated front seats, SiriusXM AM/FM/Satellite, seek-scan radio, front fog/driving lights, leather seat trim and a navigation system. Lastly, the Lounge 4-door Hatchback starts at $23,895 and includes the most additional features includes 17" painted aluminum wheels, front air conditioning, dual zone automatic, driver and passenger lumbar support, and ParkSense parking assist.

Horsepower

The 2018 Fiat 500L gets an average of around 25 miles per gallon. Do not let its compact size fool you either, it features a 1.4L I-4 Engine with 6-speed with OD transmission, 160 @ 5,500 rpm horsepower and 184 @ 2,500 rpm Torque. The front-wheel drive type and ABS and driveline traction control allow for safe driving during even the roughest road conditions.

Safety

The Fiat 500L is packed full with next generation safety features. One of the most eye-catching features being the Autonomous City Break. Located on the top of the windscreen is a laser sensor which monitors and keeps note of cars positioned ahead of you. When the system picks up a collision about to occur and the vehicle is traveling at under 30km/h, it will break the vehicle automatically. For parents, there is a mirror placed inside the car allowing you to see the passengers seats so you never have to lose sight of your children. Having trouble backing into parking spots?
